Thoughts from Dawn...
Our Mom, Grandma, and great grandmother, Helena Wilson was born on November 21, 1921 on a small farm near Gonvick, Minnesota to Hans and Olivia Hanson. She grew up surrounded by six sisters; Marie, Sophie, Emma, Ruth, Bertina, and Tina; and a brother Theodore. They all preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Duane (Dick) and a daughter Susan Anderson.

Mom is survived by her children Terry (Catherine) Wilson, Mark (Kathy) Wilson, Dawn (James) Donalds, and Paul Wilson. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Per Mom's request, there will be no formal service. There will be a family get together when her ashes are laid next to Dad's at a date to be announced in the future. Please make any memorials to a charity of your choice
Thoughts from Terry
If you check out the stars tonight, you'll probably notice that they're burning a little bit brighter. The reason is that our Mom, Helena Olivia Wilson, has joined Dad dancing among them just like they did on their honeymoon at the Argonne Ballroom in 1945.Our Mom, Grandma, and great grandmother, Helena Wilson was born on November 21, 1921 on a small farm near Gonvic Minnesota to Hans and Olivia Hanson. So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.I last talked with her at Christmas time when our Methodist Church choir caroled there in the meal room. So many fond memories of her, your Dad, and you kids over the years having lived next door as a kid and then as an adult raising my own children. I'm glad to hear her ashes will be laid to rest with your Dad's by the lake. I'm assuming that will happen on his birthday when the city so conveniently throws a big "shindig" that you guys always got together for to celebrate his day. She will be missed. May God be with you as you mourn her loss. Your friend and former neighbor, Don.

I had the privilege of meeting your sweet, funny mother while working at Ridgestone. I was so sad to hear of her passing but it makes me smile to think of her dancing in heaven. She always had that special grin and positive attitude. I’m a better person for having known her. I hope the passage of time will help ease your sadness and leave you with happy memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.
