Snuff was a really good friend. Last time I saw him was at his retirement party. He was up for Florida. Carla and I were happy for him.
I'll always remember the kindness he showed me when I was down. He always had a place for me to stay and a beer. I always replaced his light bulbs and TP when I was with him. Good memories. Lots of friends then.

I was saddened to hear of Snuff's passing. I recall the time the Cubs made the playoffs for the !st time in many years while I was in Lacrosse on business. I went to the Old Style Beer Outlet Store who at that time sponsored the Cubs radio broadcasts and picked up some advertisement items which I dropped off at Snuff's home. Needless to say Snuff was elated and invited me to watch the games that weekend at his home. Knowing beer would probably be available I could hardly refuse. Between innings that weekend Snuff confided in me that years before I had inadvertently left my Frankie Baumnholtz baseball glove at the Bell home which he had inherited and used for many years. I am comforted in the knowledge that Snuff and my old glove are forever reunited and patrolling together the 24 hour ballgames in the afterlife which by definition is what heaven is.

Uncle Snuff was the best. I have many fond memories of the time he was married to my Aunt. He always remembered the little things that others would forget. Although I hadn't seem him in years he'll always be a favorite uncle. RIP Snuff.
