I grew up on a farm next door to Julia and her parents on Mineral Point Road Janesville. It was located about 1 1/2 miles north of Footville. She was a grade a head of me in grade school but we were l She on August 8th and life long friends and always remembered each other on our birthdays and at Christmas. Julia on august 8th and my birthday on October 8th. One day on a very snowy day in grade school, our roads were not plowed and we were devastated because we both loved school. She asked her dad (your grandpa Musgrove) if he would take her and I to school in Footville on the tractor. HE DID ! Wow ! what a cold ride but we were two of the happiest girls in school that day. Our parents picked us up that afternoon as the roads had been cleared by then. We played many hours of monopoly and other games all the years of growing up. Julia's parents were wonderful people and and great friends and neighbors of my family. I was raised in a family of 10 children so Julia loved to visit us and be around all of my sisters and brothers. Your mom was my best friend and I will treasure our friendship. The last time I saw your Mom and Dad was on their 50th wedding anniversary open house and relived a lot of old stories of our growing up years together. Love to all. Bernice (Collins) Roehl

She was a wonderful woman. Her the spark in her eyes will live on in all of you with a kind, generous nature like hers. I’m sorry for your loss.

Mom never lost her sense of humor through everything...the 1st time I saw her, I remember telling her something funny and then wondering if she "got it"...then that little grin from one side of her mouth would show and then you knew she understood. She always made sure we stayed away from the bad kids at school and made sure we were persistent and practiced hard in everything we did. Can't ever forget the countless times she would set me down at the piano and even set beside me, although I told her there was not room, to make me practice for a full 30 minutes...ugh!!! I remember how she would want to say your name but went through everyone else's name 1st...and we never kidded her about it, did we? Like it would never happen to us?? Above all, she didn't just tell me to trust in God but showed me in everything she did in her life right up to the day she died. She encouraged me to not worry, "because it will all work out" she used to say and it always did and will. I can only hope and pray that I can be as strong as she was... David Miller
