Obituary

Elmer “Butch” L. Schutt, age 72, of Walworth, WI passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his home.

Butch was born on January 3, 1948 to Elmer Schutt and Dorothy Schutt and was lovingly raised by his Grandparents, Daniel and Margaret Bollinger. He graduated from Big Foot High School(class of ’66) in Walworth, WI, and married his high school sweetheart Linda.

Butch loved to tell stories of the many Harley Davidson motorcycles he owned throughout his life starting when he was only 15. He also had many stories about his childhood on the family farm in Sharon, WI. Like the time he came home late from a night with his friends and was trying to sneak to bed only to meet Dan on his way to do the morning milking. Dan wasn’t fooled but only said “You’re up early. The cows will like that you got dressed up for them.” or how he would sneak his car in line when the farm fuel tanks were being refilled so he wouldn’t have to pay for a tank of gas.

Butch always suspected Dan knew but nothing was ever said.
Butch is survived by his wife, Linda (Knull), son Daniel, Whitewater, son Robert(Allison), Delafield, granddaughter Kendon, Oshkosh, grandsons Tanner (Delafield), Devin (Delafield), as well as his half-sisters Diane Oswald and Kristine Miller, brothers-in-law Ronald Knull(Donna), Walworth, John Knull, Walworth, and sister-in-law Ruth Taylor, Delavan. Preceding him in death are his grandparents Daniel and Margaret Bollinger, father Elmer Schutt and mother Dorothy Schutt.

A visitation will be held at the Betzer Family Funeral Home (118 S. 2nd St, Delavan) on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a short service at 2 p.m. Graveside service and burial will take place at the Walworth Cemetery at 3 p.m. Betzer Family Funeral Home of Delavan, WI is proudly serving the Schutt family.

I remember when I and the Dutchman on Sundays would switch his HD for me to ride and he would take my convertible to drive in the mid 1960's.
At his Birthday party once when he was young he invited me to come. He had a hayride planned, He thought I would drive the tractor so I would go alot faster than Dan. That didn't happen, Dan drove but we had fun.
